Cliodna the Healer called it exhaustion from stress, but I have my own reason for finding fault with that diagnosis. In any case, I have not felt feint in weeks,’ Rowena said, lying through her teeth.  

‘But I have heard nothing of what you have been doing! Tell me Helga, have you perhaps found one worth of betrothal to Beonne?’

When it comes to Beonne, I have not been actively seeking a suitor for her. I believe that when the time is right, and she believes she has found someone worthy of her hand, I shall see to it that I approve of him. Until that day comes, I would like her to simply enjoy her time here at Hogwarts and to focus on her education and making friends.

Many people would not agree with this philosophy, and it certainly is not the norm, I am aware. But I have always believed, as did my mother, that there is more to a woman than the man she marries or the number of children she has. I am more concerned that Beonne is properly educated and that she knows how to fend for herself, rather than having to rely on someone to do everything for her. If marriage is a priority for her, then I will see to it that it happens, but she has not expressed such a desire in the past. Things will happen the way they are meant to.

Rowena… If you ever find that you are not feeling well and do not wish to spend your time in the hospital wing, you are always welcome at my door, day or night. Always. I am sure I could come up with something to make you feel better.

I’ve been recovering from a few minor ailments, but overall fit as a bird. The plans of the castle are coming along lovely, and what’s more it’s spring. Had you ever thought our grounds could be as magnificent as they are in bloom?

Certainly not. It is so lovely to see the green on the trees again, and the flowers springing up near the castle… I am so looking forward to planting my garden soon. It has been far too long since I have been able to tend to it.

What has been ailing you as of late, my friend? Though you say they are minor, I am curious and concerned nonetheless.
